Passed On: December 14, 2021

Richard D. Vasvari, 74, of Whitehall Pa. passed away on 12/14/2021 after entering the hospital with pneumonia a few days prior. "Vas" was born on October 25th 1947 to Harold Vasvari & Helen Vasvari (nee Powell) in Easton Pa. He attended Easton area high school & graduated in 1965, he went on to study at Hiram Scott college in Scottsbluff Ne. Vas worked for years at Schafer bologna till he was able to open his own franchise business "Orange Julius" which he ran for many years in the Palmer Park mall. He most recently was a top salesman for the Kelly automotive group. Vas was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his grandson Liam, who he did his best to pass on his knowledge of sports and teaching him to be a kind & generous human being. He always did his best to support his family. Vas was also a great PIAA football official and also officiated collegiate football in years past. He was known in the Lehigh Valley as a fair and just official. He used to officiate the Thanksgiving day game between Northampton high school & Catasauqua high school every year. Anyone who knew Rich knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Richard was predeceased by his parents Harold & Helen & his brother Hal "Skip" Vasvari. He is survived by his wife Verdi his sons Jon & Jan & his grandson Liam Scott Kennedy.
