Richard Ellis

WILLIAMS TWP. Richard "Dick" Ellis, 75, of Williams Twp., PA was pronounced dead on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in St. Luke's Anderson Hospital, Easton. He was born June 1,1947 in Wilson Borough, PA, a son of the late Walter and Dorothy Metz Ellis. Dick was a 1965 graduate of Easton High School and was an Army veteran stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. After 42 years, he retired in 2009 from First Energy where he worked in systems operations. He was a member of the Williams Twp. Fire Company where he formerly served as Fire Chief. Dick was an avid hunter and in 1965 became a charter member of Twin Acrea's Hunting Lodge. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Williams Twp., Springtown Rod and Gun Club, Williams Twp. and Raubsville Sportsman's Association, American Legion Post #950, Riegelsville, PA and Citizen Hose Club, Easton where he was a life member. Dick is survived by two children, Kevin Roth and Lori Coon and her husband, Glenn; grandchildren, whom he loved spending time with, Lauren and Melanie Roth and Mason and Reed Coon; great granddaughter, Jy'ala and his sister, Jean Schnader. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at 12 noon in St. John's Church on Morgan Hill, 2720 Morgan Hill Rd., Williams Twp., PA. Friends may call Monday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williams Twp.
