David Holstein

David W. Holstein, 68, of Lower Nazareth Township, formerly of Easton, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born May 2, 1948 in Schenectady, NY, he was a son of the late William C. and Merita Davis Holstein. He and his wife, the former Bette Lou Lokushek, celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on August 24, 2016. Dave retired from Minerals Technologies, Inc., formerly Pfizer, Inc., where he was employed for 28 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Easton Area High School and received a B.S. in Chemistry from Dickinson College. He served with the Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed golf, numismatics and Apple computers and had been an Eagle Scout. Dave was a member of the American Chemical Society. He was also a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society serving as team captain for walks in Pennsylvania and Arizona. Surviving in addition to his wife Bette Lou, is a daughter, Traci Elizabeth Holstein, of Tavernier, FL; two sisters, Janet Cholin and her husband Roger, of Trout Run, PA, and Karen Kuhns and her husband Jon, of Lenhartsville, PA; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
