rancis L. Rittenhouse EASTON Francis L. "Pork" Rittenhouse, 72, of Easton passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born Feb. 24, 1947, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Frances L. (Adams) Rittenhouse. He graduated from Easton High School Class of 1965 and served as a sergeant with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Pork retired as a lineman from the former Bell Telephone of PA, where he worked for over 25 years. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pork was an avid fisherman, enjoyed helping others, camping, listening to music and years ago, scuba diving. Years ago, he was a Boy Scout Master at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a former member of Easton Emergency Squad. Surviving are two sons, Blair and Shane Rittenhouse, both of Easton; six daughters, Heidi Maida and her husband, Rocky, of Ridgecrest, CA, Krystie Ebner and her husband, Robert, of Forks Township, Wendy Hull and her husband, Wayne, of Forks Township, Brandi Pszczolkowski and her husband, Andrew, of Allentown, Amber Rittenhouse, of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Kira Pearce and her husband, William, of Easton; a brother, Paul Rittenhouse, of Trenton, FL; a sister, Nancy Rittenhouse of Florida; 15 grandchildren, Rocky, Kyle, Darrian, Nole, Lauren, Tyler, Garrett, Ryan, Eric, Mason, Deon'Dre, Shayna, Alina, Bailey and Jaxson, and two great-grandchildren, Braeden and Brooklyn. He was predeceased by his former wife, Candace (Borger) Rittenhouse; a brother, William Rittenhouse, and a sister, Betsy Rittenhouse. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick Street, Easton. Call on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
